I truly appreciated the friendly atmosphere and early check-in, allowing me to settle in comfortably. The standard queen room was cozy, and the easy access to common areas made it convenient for someone my age.

Well, that was a surprise!

When I checked in, I certainly didn't expect the room to be in such poor condition. The towels looked unwashed, with hair clinging to them, and the sheets were visibly stained. The only redeeming feature was the working AC. It felt more like camping than a hotel stay.

It was just an optimal selection for a stopover in Opelika with reasonable value. The AC worked fine, which was a relief. Look for a cleaner spot next time.

The curtains were riddled with holes, giving peeking neighbors a clear view inside—so we had to improvise with our own blankets. The refrigerator had a broken handle, making it a hassle to access. Stains on the sheets told me they skipped the laundry cycle, and the lack of basic amenities like coffee pots in either the room or lobby was a letdown. Honestly, the overall state of the bathroom felt neglected, from the uneven caulk on the tub to the general wear and tear of the fixtures. Add in limited TV channels and you start wondering if it’s better to just sleep in the car.
